The First Plants and Pillars Film Festival

Last week we had the privilege of attending the first Plants and Pillars Film Festival along with 160 other people.

There were 17 (I think that is right) films entered for judging. These were films that were written, directed, filmed and edited by young people, I believe they were all homeschoolers.

The Festival itself was organized by Jessica Prittchet, who is 16, along with the help of her parents and siblings.

It was an exciting evening as we watched these children share their talent and hard work with others. Hopefully some of these kids will grow into big time story writers, actors and movie makers using their skills to impact the world in a POSITIVE way through media.

Great job Jessica and the whole Prittchet Family! We can’t wait for next year’s festival, Emma is already talking about making her first film.
