Today’s Domestic Class was Rag Quilting. The girls did a great job!
It’s WONDERFUL when moms lend a helping hand!
Mia is ALWAYS excited to sew something…anything!!!
Although her attention span in not very long and her mom had to help her a lot, her mom realizes the importance of encouraging her without frustrating her with too many details and perfectionism. When Mia gets distracted Mom steps in to help. The important thing is that she is nurturing a desire to sew/quilt.
The girls learned how to save time and thread by strip piecing their blocks.
No one was able to finish their rag quilt today, but they will have no trouble finishing it up at home in a couple of hours. Can’t wait for them to send pictures of their finished quilts. I’ll share them with all of you when they do!
Here is my Rag Quilt Tutorial.

I wish I lived closer to you. I would love to bring my daughter to your classes. She would love it. Well, at least I have all your videos. I guess that is the next best thing. Would still love to see a knitting video.
