When I was a little girl, I dreamed about getting married, becoming a mother and having my own home. I never really dreamed of having a career or being famous… OK, I did I want to be a singer, but don’t all little girls?!
Because I grew up as a latch-key kid of the 70’s-80’s I did get to “play house” a lot because I had chore list every day and I had the kitchen to myself to experiment in. ![]()
But once I was married, had a house and then kids… oh, yeah, then throw in homeschooling and a few home industries, I figured out REAL QUICK that playing house was easier than running a house!
Here I am, almost 50 and married for 28 years and I am still learning how to do things better.
Little did I know when I was dreaming of being a homemaker one day that I’d actually stand before crowds to speak or teach dozens of domestic classes. I loved speaking at the Legacy conference and also speaking at CHEF, our state’s homeschool conference. I wouldn’t say I am a natural at it because on the inside I freak out, but God has used my life experiences to be able to encourage others… after all, isn’t that what we are suppose to do? He has allowed my love for home as a very real outreach. My home as my mission base.
Yes… this is in part a sales pitch, but it is also a very practical help to encourage and equip you in your calling as a homemaker, and even more importantly, help you train your children to manage their homes well one day.
The 2015 Ultimate Homemaking Bundle is a complete library of carefully selected eBooks, eCourses, audios, online conferences, and printable packs designed to help you turn your house into a home… without all the overwhelm.
One of the audios being given in the bundle is the Living a Legacy Conference I helped host and speak at 3 years ago, which is a $29 value in its self!
At the conference I spoke on The Heart of Hospitality – How to Disciple the Nations One Home at a Time and The Industrious Home – How to Teach a Good Work Ethic Through Daily Chores and Home Business.
My dearest friends also spoke on topics very dear to their hearts:
Kelly Crawford - Thriving on a Shoestring Budget: Tips, Inspiration and Ideas for the One-Income Family and God’s Heart Toward Children- The Counter-culture Truth that Changes our Parenting.
Robin White - Children Who Impact the Culture -How to Train Your Children Intentionally for the Glory of God and Celebrating Motherhood through Adoption, Reversals and Foster Care.
