I LOVE scones!!!
They are like a sweet biscuit…and not good for you, but they are good for a treat.
I made some for our ladies’ brunch/book study at church. They are also perfect for teas.
The video tutorial below says to bake them on a cookie sheet, I baked these in my cast iron skillet.
I made double batch cutting the second half smaller than the first.
I made a cream to put on them which was simply cream cheese and some strawberry preserves.
Cream Scone Recipe:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated white sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into pieces
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk or heavy cream

Titus 2:3 says that we are to be
"...teachers of good things...".
We believe that part of these good things are practical skills that we all need in every day life to care for our family and neighbors.
One of our primary responsibilities as parents is equip our children with the skills and tools to one day be productive, well rounded adults. Children need to be exposed to many different areas of work. Not only should they know how to work, but they should want to work.
May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us;
establish the work of our hands for us-
yes, establish the work of our hands.
Psalm 90:17

Hi Kathy, Just found this section on your website, even though I have browsed for years! I thought I would go through each one with my daughter who is nine now. I can’t see a video link on this first topic, do you know what’s wrong? Thanks, Lian xx
