My sweet, sweet, SERVING Cherish. As I struggled with some dehydration yesterday morning she brought fresh fruit and cool water to my recliner. Her tender, servant heart always convicts me, she serves with such meekness.
I WANT TO BE MORE LIKE HER.
She and her siblings are gifts entrusted to us, not burdens.
Just as water and fruit refresh a dehydrated body,
children bring LIFE to a family.
On Saturday we catered a wedding for some very dear friends of ours. I hate I have no wedding photos to share, but I do have food photos.
It was a classy-rustic theme.
The fruit display was built up on boxes Jeff made from pallets.
It was a 7 pm, candle light wedding with breakfast foods.
Olivia made over 200 heart shaped biscuits.
With butter, jams, and honey… oh my!
Waffles with fruit topping, whipped cream, chocolate syrup and maple syrup.
Emma and Josh were there to help too.
It was really nice having ALL hands on deck to make things run smoothly.
We even had hands of a friend to help serve drinks. :)
These are doughnut sticks that some friends made,
doughnut holes and fruit, they were a big hit!
Several friends made pies that were delicious!
Her cake was simple. She wanted it to look homemade,
as if her grandmother had iced it. That was easy enough!
What a joy to see God breathing life into His people through physical food, spiritual food, covenantal vows and children!
