If you have ever taken one of my sewing classes youâve heard me stress the rule of NOT cutting paper (or anything else) with fabric scissors.
Fabric scissors should be saved (hidden away from children and men who want to cut EVERYTHING but fabric) in a safe place and only used for fabric. Have you ever tried to cut fabric or thread with a pair of scissors and they would not cut? Itâs because they have been misused (abused!).

Our son Josh loved to tear a part things and put them back together. I canât tell you how many times Jeff and I would go to bed at night and tell Josh, “Please donât electrocute yourself or burn the house down while weâre a sleep. ” He always had a project going in his room. Weâve got lots of stories and Iâm glad he made it to adulthood with only a couple ER trips.
