I just bought a walking foot so I can continue to make all those cool rag baby blankets. I know you can do it without it- I have made several, but I am looking forward to using my walking foot on the next one.
Would you use a walking foot on a denim skirt? That is coming up this week too!

I sew a LOT of minky, and it’s impossible without the walking foot. The stuff slips and slides against itself with every little movement. I just pin, pin, pin, then use the walking foot (I sew right over the pins.) and it’s saved me a lot of frustration.
I don’t think you’d need the foot for denim, though, unless you had several layers.
