Teaching Good Things, Practical Skills for Real Life

Equipping Families with Practical Skills for Real Life!

Wholesome Family Fun

Friday night our family, along with the Ferrill family, hosted the third Annual 1860′s Ball. Even though colds and flu took a toll on our number of attendees, we still had a good turn out and a good time.

One thing I truly appreciate in our community of homeschoolers is how much we enjoy getting together as families. Last month a huge crowd (over 400 people) gathered for the Bailey’s Barn Dance.

I love to see daddies dance with their little girls…

and their older girls too.

I love to see daddies set the example for their sons on how to treat a lady and how to lead them.

It is beautiful to see brothers and sisters take a spin around the floor.

This is Micah and Hannah (brother and sister) who lead our dances, they do a great job!

Most of the girls just love to dress up.

These fast paced, old fashioned dances are fun to do,

and even if you don’t dance they are fun to watch!

There are even some newer line dances to add to the fun!

Lots of good wholesome family fun!

Titus 2:3 says that we are to be "...teachers of good things...". We believe that part of these good things are practical skills that we all need in every day life to care for our family and neighbors. One of our primary responsibilities as parents is equip our children with the skills and tools to one day be productive, well rounded adults. Children need to be exposed to many different areas of work. Not only should they know how to work, but they should want to work. May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us- yes, establish the work of our hands. Psalm 90:17
