Weclome New Visitors!
September 24, 2008
Yesterday was a booming day for this website thanks to Homeschool Freebie! In fact, it was SO BOOMING it shut us down overnight. So if any of you had trouble getting your freebie from us yesterday please just email me!
So welcome to all our new friends!
The weather here is Alabama is so beautiful right now, it's hard to stay in the house. ;o)
Monday, two of my dearest friends and I took the day off to celebrate birthdays. It was almost like being school girls again. We left the older children (older teens) with the younger children, and grandma next door, and we went out to eat and the thrift store. lol…Yep, the thrift store!
We frugal moms did pretty good!
What a pleasant day sharing conversation without being interrupted…well, except for our husbands who kept calling to make sure we were OK…lol! You should have seen these reformed, Christian, homeschool moms when those 80's songs came on the radio as we sat and ate our chocolate cakes…it was funny! Music is a powerful thing, we knew all the words to all the songs! What sweet fellowship God gives His people. We came home so energized and refreshed to serve our families. Thanks Robin and Kelly!

What fun! I read about your adventure over at Kelly’s blog. I could only laugh when you mentioned the 80′s songs……I am 44, and it happens to me too. Altho’ some of those lyrics I wish I could FORGET!
I so enjoy your site and hearing your thoughts. I also enjoy your friendship with Kelly. I think I would enjoy fellowshiping with you all. I thank the LORD that HE lets me share a bit with you via blogs.
Many blessings from Virginia
It’s so weird how a song can take you back in time! We listen to Christian music almost exclusively now, but every now and then I’ll hear a “prom song” from the early ’80s and it makes me feel like a teenager again.
Looks like y’all had a great time! Friendships like that are hard to find.
Blessings–
Dana
Thanks Dana and Leslie!
Yes, I have that same thing happen with some songs. And it’s weird how we have those lyrics so embedded in minds. I wish I could memorize scripture that easily!
