Today’s Hand Quilting and Embroidery Class

July 20, 2010

Today’s Domestic Class started with a lesson in hand quilting.

This is sweet Jamie, who is 8 years old, I just want to scoop her up and take her home!

Then after lunch was the Hand Embroidery class. I made each girl a little practice piece to help them remember the names of the stitches.

Emily is a perfectionist, which is good with this type of handiwork;

she’ll be the one I’ll call if I need something done right!

This was the first time Caroline and her sister Ana-Leigh came to one of our classes.

They are both as sweet as pie and eager to learn!

Jessica and her four sisters have got to be from one of the happiest families I know.

They are always ready to learn something new!

And each sister is ALWAYS willing to help the other sister out!

Now that is how it should be!!!

Sarah is new to handiwork too, all it takes is a willingness to give it a try.

Dear, dear Ana! Ana is like another daughter to me. She and Olivia have been friends for…well…a long, long time!

Ana has such a gentle and KIND spirit, God has something extra special in-store for her!

The girls look pretty serious in this picture, but I promise you,

there was A LOT of giggling and LAUGHING with this bunch… music to my ears.

Johanna is another precious girl! She is new to our classes this year; she always comes in with a smile and ready to get to work. She and Emma have been known to really enjoy a good laugh together!

Next week’s class is Growing and Cooking with Culinary Herbs!
