We Have Got to Be Informed and Involved!

There are times I can look at the state of our country and wonder if we will ever pull it together; if we will ever have leaders again with character like those that founded this nation. It looks pretty bleak!


I see people throw their hands up in the air and grumble how they hate politics, and in a way I can understand that, but at the same time it frustrates me. To be honest, I love politics; not the lying and thievery that happens, but the fight for truth. I love FREEDOM! I love TRUTH! I love making a difference even if it is something small. I love teaching my kids that they have the right, and even more so, the responsibility to defend what is right and true!

Last night we attended a Republican Gubernatorial Forum (although I am an Independent). I LOVE the excitement of listening to candidates give their view on things, even if they are ‘laying it on thick’. Do you know how many countries wish they had the freedoms we have? Just the simple freedom to assemble or freely speak? And if you watch the nightly news (I rarely do) you will see some American leaders do not like that freedom very much! 

We have got to know our Constitution and use our freedoms or we’ll loose them. 


At one point last night Emma leaned over and commented to me, "There are mostly older people here, where are the young people?" She was right! Shortly after that 4 or 5 families we knew came in with their kids. These families know the importance of dragging their kids to meetings like this where it is 80 degrees in the gym and no one is sitting comfortably! Because life is not about being comfortable or entertained. It’s is about working towards the things we want, whether it be our families, our homes, or our country! We have got to be informed and active!

I looked at these young people that sat around us. I know the type of families they are being raised in. I know their character and their ability to lead this country one day. There is hope! It will come from those who will truly sacrifice for the sake of FREEDOM! For the sake of the Constitution!

Let Freedom Ring!

Let Capitalism Ring!

Let Liberty Ring!

There was only one man last night that I trust to do what he says he will do, because he has done it before!
