The Responsibility of Future Leaders

“The first responsibility of a leader is to define reality.

The last is to say thank you.

In between, the leader is a servant.”

 





Teaching our children to serve those around them, which ultimately is serving Christ, is an important trait in raising young adults, even more so a future leader. Teaching them to serve without expecting anything in return is tough, yet crucial.

 

If you are meeting the needs of others and expecting them to do the same in return, your motives are selfish, although we all struggle with this. If we could just learn how to do everything in a spirit of pleasing God, that would make some incredible leaders and do away with the victim mentality that has swept over our nation.

 

…whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 10:31

 

A true leader is a man that accepts responsibility.
