Kathy, that's awesome. I couldn't agree more. I have been a mom for "only" 17 years...and yet I have experienced this too. Great post.

Sigh. This is timely. Our oldest just turned 25. I was that mom - the one mentioned at the end of the short video. Only by the grace of God do I have close, loving relationships with our other two married adult children (as well as the blessed opportunity to raise two more younger ones).

Moms, God can redeem the years the locusts have eaten! If you've messed up, if you were that angry mom, your kids will forgive you! And for those of you with one roaming out in the wilderness, filled with bitterness toward you, be patient - God is at work. Keep praying, be humble, and love them anyway.

Thanks, Kathy, for the encouragement.

Excellent advice! I have been guilty of focusing on school/work so much that I forgot to take time to listen and to just give a big hug! (Yep, even 16 year old young men need a hug.) Thanks, Kathy!
