Thanksgiving Day 2011
November 25, 2011
Our Thanksgiving Day was fairly quiet this year.
I was pretty bummed because we had no extra people at our table. But the Lord did bring us an opportunity to fill a need for someone else so we were able to cook 2 meals and deliver 1!
While Jeff and I were out delivering the meal the girls set this beautiful table, they did a great job!
Special feasting times are even more memorable when the table is all dressed up!
Josh came for lunch and a nap.
Not sure why he is wearing his place card.
Thankfully no strife, no arguments and no hurt feelings (just keeping it real for ya)! Lunch was filled with adult conversation and then the silliness began…
After we ate everyone took a turn on Santa’s lap to give him our request.
Emma wants a gun…and a bike.
Josh… what he needs we can’t give him.
lol…
And then my sweet man was even willing to rub my feet…what a good one he is!
We took naps, watched movies, sat out on the hammock and swing to enjoy the sunshine.
It was a quiet day with sweet memories.
What I like most is that with the passing years and the seasoning of memories
these pictures and this day will become even more special than they are now.
We’ll long for this ‘good ‘ol day’.
