Teaching Good Things at CHEF!

March 30, 2011

Teaching Good Things will be presenting 4 workshops at the Christian Home Education Fellowship State Convention in June.  Be sure to come by our booth and introduce yourself! Jeff will be at our booth doing knot tying with any young people that would like to stop by.

Our workshops will be:

“Will Your Homeschool Prepare Them for Life?” (Kathy) -A discussion on practical skills and teaching character through a good work ethic that will help equip your children for a successful life.

“Rag Quilting” (Kathy) -A demonstration of patchwork using the rag quilting method. This is a
very easy beginner project.

“Growing and Cooking with Culinary Herbs” (Olivia)  -A demonstration showing some of the easiest herbs to grow in our area and how to care for them. This demonstration will also include how to use these herbs in some easy recipes- which will include taste samples. :)

“Traditional Cake Decorating” (Kathy)  -A demonstration on the basics of traditional cake decorating using
buttercream icing. This demonstration will include taste samples. :)

So wish we could be there! Our Washington state conference is coming up at the end of April, and then we’ve got the Oregon conference in June — a double! We’ll be blessed to hear Kevin Swanson, Geoff Botkin, and Voddie Bacham! So much good teaching! Blessings, ~Lisa

  2. Hi Kathy!
I just found your blog today and have enjoyed looking around. I was pleasantly surprised to see that you will be at the CHEF Convention in June. We will be there, too, so maybe I can meet you there. We’ll have a booth for our small business selling Beeyoutiful products and will also be sharing our scripture melodies sheet music and coloring pages. I hope you’ll come by to see me if I don’t make it to your booth first. :)
Thanks again for making yourself–and your post office box–available for us to contact the Crawfords!
Blessings from the Smith family in Helena
