I just got my soil test results back yesterday. It says our soil is deficient in every single thing…no wonder we couldn’t get anything to grow the last two years! (This was WITH manure and compost added both years.) My husband is debating whether we can afford to bring our soil to useable levels now. With no garden to take care of, though, I would have more time for farmer’s markets and bargain shopping, though…right?

I never thought about testing the soil. I need to do that as our garden hasn’t done well, either, even though we put in manure and stuff.
Personally, I’d rather do the farmers market but my dh is determined we should grow our own!
