Teaching Good Things, Practical Skills for Real Life

Equipping Families with Practical Skills for Real Life!

Pictures from the Anniversary Party

Here are some pictures from the SURPRISE  25th Wedding Anniversary Party that our children threw for us. It really was a big surprise!!! The girls let me in on the secret that morning for 2 reasons; 1. I don’t take surprises well and 2. I was suppose to be baking wedding cake for 150 people that day. Nothing like filling every moment of the day with activity!

Emma did an excellent job with the decorations in our pavilion.

The lights were enchanting!

She even sprinkled silver glitter all over the concrete floor

and on the stone walkway to the house.

She strung back and white pictures of us that Olivia took on our anniversary,

that is what is hanging.

Josh was home for a few days and he kept us served all evening.

Olivia made a BUNCH of wonderful, delicious food!

There was beautiful, classical music playing softly in the background.

Stuffed Mushroom Bites,

Cucumber w/ Dill Cream

Shrimp, Mini Toast w/ Chicken Salad

Baked Brie and Apricot Preserves

Several cheeses, crackers, fruits

Baguette w/ herbed butter

Mini Caprese Salad Hor’ Dourves

Parmesan Sourdough Loaf

Nuts

Olive Medley

Did I mention the food was delicious?!

But the best part…

was that they invited 4 other couples that are our closest friends.

They blessed us with an evening of pleasant conversation and sentimental toasts!

I have to say, there are no words to express how it feels when your children rise up and call you blessed!

Titus 2:3 says that we are to be "...teachers of good things...". We believe that part of these good things are practical skills that we all need in every day life to care for our family and neighbors. One of our primary responsibilities as parents is equip our children with the skills and tools to one day be productive, well rounded adults. Children need to be exposed to many different areas of work. Not only should they know how to work, but they should want to work. May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us- yes, establish the work of our hands. Psalm 90:17
