Learn How


to Build a


Birdhouse and


a Bird Feeder

Registration Deadline:


Will be rescheduled if weather is bad.

Each student will:

Receive a folder of handouts, birdhouse plans and carpenter pencil

Learn carpentry terms

Learn the difference in types of wood and nails/screws

Learn how to measure and cut wood

Learn how to use tools correctly

Read plans

Build one birdhouse AND one birdf eeder to take home

Lunch and drinks will be provided

Requirements:

Boys ages 10 and up, fathers are more than welcome to attend with their sons for free.

Have a willingness to learn and work.

Obey safety instructions and follow directions.

Parents must sign a consent form.

Though safety ALWAYS comes first, this is a class you take at your own risk.

Any boys that do not comply with the above requirements will be dismissed from the workshop without a refund.

Each student will need:

Safety glasses

Ear Plugs

Close toed shoes (work boots would be best, but not required)

Be familiar with the vocabulary words that will be mailed to them after registering.

*Tape measure

*Hammer

*Tool belt with nail pouch

*Cap/Hat to keep sun out of eyes

*Sunscreen or long-sleeved shirt

*optional, but strongly encouraged

$35 per Student – Dads of students are free.

Registration deposit of $10 must be received by deadline and is nonrefundable.

Balance is due on the morning of workshop.

Student’s names will be put on a waiting list if class is full.
