Look What Came to My Door Today…

I have been going through all of the family scrapbooks and BOXES of pictures trying to get a 50th wedding anniversary book together for Jeff’s parents in a couple of weeks. Nothing like hours of old pictures to make you feel melancholy…and old.
Then the florist called to say I had a delivery…I couldn’t imagine ‘who in the world…’, it’s not my birthday, Mother’s Day or any other occasion. I knew Jeff was saving money for our trip north. ?????
What a pleasant surprised when I saw they were from Joshua!!! He is in OK working and this is the FIRST time he has ever done anything like this! So for a mom who had already been feeling a bit sad, a bit missing my ‘babies’, these flowers sent me over the edge!
When Josh, who is now 22, was a baby I would read, “I Love You Forever”, to him all the time. We even came up with a little song when it came to the part of the mom singing to the boy. sigh…..
Moms, CHERISH every day, EVERY DAY, even the bad ones, because it really does go by in a flash!

That is so precious!! Enjoy the gift of you today’ obviously your son is!
Our copy of that book is so worn and covered in tape. We read it over and over again…and we, too, made up a tune. How fun!
