Teaching Good Things, Practical Skills for Real Life

Equipping Families with Practical Skills for Real Life!

Laughter is Good!

“A glad heart makes a cheerful face…”

Proverbs 15:13

We have a lot of silliness around here…and it is good!

Although Jeff nor I are very humorous people, we enjoy good humor; which is good because our kids all got a double dose of it! Thankfully, the 3 new kids have joyful spirits themselves which equals some good times!

Wouldn’t life be so much better if we didn’t take ourselves so seriously? If we’d learn not to be easily offended and believe the best in people?

Jeff had to work late tonight so after supper we pushed back the furniture and turned on some YouTube karaoke music and sang…loudly…and poorly, but it was fun! Then we pulled up a few songs and did some line dancing…poorly, but it was fun!

A Tuesday night + some silliness = Great Family Memories

Titus 2:3 says that we are to be "...teachers of good things...". We believe that part of these good things are practical skills that we all need in every day life to care for our family and neighbors. One of our primary responsibilities as parents is equip our children with the skills and tools to one day be productive, well rounded adults. Children need to be exposed to many different areas of work. Not only should they know how to work, but they should want to work. May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us- yes, establish the work of our hands. Psalm 90:17
