How is the tree situation going, Kathy? Have you found the right people yet to take care of the tree? After the LORD provides the right person and timing to remove the tree, I would love to see an after picture! ;)

Wow! Nice photos. Blessings to you! Hope all is resolved soon! Two homeschooled teens I know took a tree down like that one. They watched all the YouTube videos they could find of people taking trees down and made notes of all the mistakes they saw, then figured out the best way to do it. They were successful, although their mom said she nearly died from fright, just watching them. I'm not recommending this method... ;-) Good luck! Stay safe!

Kathy, we are rejoicing that it didn't fall on the house. That is scary.

Years ago, we had a tree that was in similar shape, and one large branch landed on our house, though thankfully caused minimal damage. Our homeowners insurance paid to have the rest of the tree cut down, as it was a liability. I was told by our tree guys (who also charged a few grand!) that the reason for the price was the fact that it was in bad shape and dangling over the house, and surrounded by electrical wires, and therefore it is a much scarier job, rather than just cutting it down haphazardly. yours seems to be leaning more than ours and is more over the house, so you may check with insurance. :-)

blessings,
Kimberly

Praise the LORD for HIS protection over you all!
Isn't comforting to know that HE was the one that allowed the limb to fall the direction it did and when it did? We had lightening hit 2 trees here.....KABOOM is right! It scares the livin' right out of you!

Again, I am so glad you are ok. We'll be praying you get he right "people and price" to take care of the tree.

Oh wow! I'm so glad that everyone is safe and it didn't do more damage. Praying that you'll be able to get the other portion of the tree taken care of asap!
