I would love to do that! I am always wanting to do more for others but never feel like I am prepared enough. Thank you for the inspiration!

Kathy!

We're on the same wavelength. I just started putting up sweet-hot banana pepper relish and zucchini relish and fresh peaches. In two weeks, tomatoes, green beans and zucchini marinara sauce. Early September will be applesauce, pumpkin/squash mash and chili starter.

My kids love to go to the pantry and pick a few things whenever we have a family in need. I've found that fall and winter needs are helped by chili starter and a box of Jiffy cornbread mix, or a box of pasta (buy extra when it's 10/$10 at our local market), a jar of sauce and green beans. I buy up a bunch of Jiffy cornbread mix when the local market has it for 50 cents a box, keep it on hand in the pantry just in case.

My kids came up with the idea of "biscuit bags." So that the kids in families we help could take part in the meal. We buy a big box of Bisquick, or Store brand, they write the directions in marker on a plastic bag and fill it with enough mix for a family of four. We keep them right alongside the Jiffy mix.

I'm checking out your list.... Blessings!
