[...] Do not use the Readi-whip until you are about ready to serve, it melts quickly. You could whip up your own topping with whipping cream and sugar, it would be much more stable. This entry was posted in Decorating [...]

I feel like the Pavlov dog---whipped cream=salivating! My mom used to make gingerbread and serve it with fresh whipped cream; cream was courtesy of our milk cow, Peggy. I make a plain chocolate cake and cut it into squares, then split the pieces like a sandwich, then plop the whipped cream on, sandwich it together, then top it with another plop of cream. If I'm feeling fancy-shmancy, a sprinkling of cocoa powder goes over the top and around the plate. It's possible there are at least 23 calories :) in each plop of cream, but it is sooo delicious! My dad refers to coolwhip topping as "shaving cream" and I must agree with him. Whipped toppings have their place in some recipes, but real cream is superior!

Thanks to your lovely picture of berries with whipped cream, I now feel compelled to make something to put whipped cream on! And thanks for the many neat tips and encouragement you share; I look forward to checking the email every day to see what you're sharing!
