		<description>I am canning the pears.  Just coring and slicing them.  I then make a sugar syrup using the Extra Light Measurements in the Ball Blue Book.  I cook the pears until they look &quot;good&quot; to me and then process them.  They are so delicious!</description>

		<description>That 12 jar canner is awesome! I only have one that fits 7. I am also doing tomatoes right now.  My garden has done really well is year, and I am busy make my tomato juice blend.</description>

		<description>Wow!  A 12 jar canner!  How wonderful.  I have been scalding, chopping, and freezing my tomatoes.  I will be working on more pears this weekend.  I have been thinking about a way to do this outside so as to keep the house cooler.  I will have to show my  hubby this.</description>
