Just coring and slicing them. I then make a sugar syrup using the Extra Light Measurements in the Ball Blue Book. I cook the pears until they look "good" to me and then process them. A 12 jar canner! How wonderful. I have been scalding, chopping, and freezing my tomatoes. I will be working on more pears this weekend.
