Heritage Quilts
This quilt was made for a 90th birthday. The photos cover 5 generations. Here is what her granddaughter had to say about the quilt:
birthday. Wow! Everyone was saying, "Oh!
What is that? What is on there? Oh! It is filled with of pictures of
her family! Five generations!" And on the back, there was a dedication
and some scripture verses. Many people at her party were very moved by
it, and it brought them to tears. My grandma was in tears. She was
amazed that on the back, it even had her middle name spelled correctly,
an unusual spelling which she thought I did not know about. She told me
that it is an heirloom. I had no idea it would be so cherished as it
was–or is. My uncle told me, "It was the best gift I have seen
anyone get, ever!"
