Frugal Friday- Buying Nuts

When buying nuts it is cheaper to buy them in the produce section at Wal Mart than it is back in the baking isle.

Last year I found a bizillion packages of walnuts and pecans on sale for less than 1/2 price at Krogers. This was right after Christmas. I snatched them up and froze ‘em. They’re still great! We all love nuts around here!

Now you have me curious to compare the ‘unit pricing’ between the produce aisle and baking aisle!
Sometimes, I’ve been lucky to find big discounts on nuts after Passover (I’m not Jewish, but I don’t pass up a bargain, LOL!), because they are specific labeled Kosher for the holiday and are not usually on the shelves. I freeze them, too!
