Man, we have had tons of rain here in NE Texas. Apparently we have a cold front stalled on top of us, warm air coming up from the Gulf and favorable conditions for storms until Wednesday. We have considered scrapping the plans for the greenhouse and building an Ark, or maybe a floating greenhouse. I have slugs eating my herbs, I have been putting out salt, but I now have an ocean full of salt water instead of a lake full of freshwater in my yard. Someone suggested an open can of beer, I have forgotten that old remody, guess I am gonna have to buy some cheap beer and set it out in my garden, that will be a hoot, putting pictures of that up on my blog with my gospel player playing..... Well, I do have one secular song, could not resist putting Scarborough Faire (you know, Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, & Thyme) on there. Ok, gotta run I feel a weather lesson coming on, I need to gather supplies......

Hi, I just wanted to say how much I liked your garden pictures. I have no updates on the garden. I am just admiring all the garden posts.

I have potato's,cabbage, carrots, beets, and spinach in the garden and squash, melons and a few different herbs in containers. It is all coming up quite nicely.I had planted various flowers outside, but the ducks ate them. They are eating, pooping fowl, but so cute.I made the mistake of planting beans and peas and okra outside the garden fence, not smart as we have free-ranging birds. We do have Magnolias blooming and flowers on the cactuses.I also have really big sunflowers getting ready to bloom.I will have to get some more pictures posted.I wish everyone a Blessed weekend and to all mothers Happy Mothers day!

Ok the screen seems to be messing up here, the comment box is moving around my screen. LITERALLY! ;p I swear I haven't had a drop of alcohol so that can't be it.

We got all our inside plants outside now so the house seems bare! Not speckle of natural green left. I will post pictures later on my blog of the garden planted in.

My 6 in 1 apple tree is budding out! I was so excited to see this happen. Unfortunately my Fruit Cocktail tree and cherry bush haven't done anything yet. :(

Well we did get most of our plants in. Seeds for the most part but a fair share of them were already germinated. My germination test went a little rampant!

Yesterday we planted: Oregano, Rosemary, lavendar, sweet corn, pop corn, onion, mallow, pumpkin, canteloupe, melon, watermelon, leek, radish, bean, broccoli, brussel sprouts spinach and much more..

I had to laugh when I saw the posting about planting gardens. We are in SE WI - and we have not yet officially cleared the last frost date - and probably won't until Memorial Day weekend. Sooo, we have a couple more weeks to get ready!
