I loaded it to my Walkman that my sweet daughter gave me for my birthday. I started listening to it last night and I am really enjoying it.

My first thought was, "But I’m NOT happy! My heart is aching! I don’t like the way things are! etc…" Then I was quickly reminded of how many times we have had to tell our children ‘no’, for reasons they do not understand; then they pout…or whine…or get angry…or disobey and do what they were told not to. These actions will then cause us to discipline them for their attitude (it’s ALL a heart issue).

How often are we like this with God? Daily? Wouldn’t we just love it if when we tell our children no to something, that they would just smile and say, "Yes, Mom, you know what is best for me right now."  Funny how God uses parenting to teach us so much about our relationship with Him!
