Cherish and I made a couple of rag dolls.
They were fun and a good beginner project for her.
They were part machine sewn and part hand sewn.
Cherish wanted a black doll, she had fun making the hair.
I made the red headed one for my Sweet Peachy girl!
Cherish learning how to make tiny stitches.
And this is how we keep Sweet Peach busy!
How about you? Any fiber art fun going on? I’d love to hear about it!

Titus 2:3 says that we are to be
"...teachers of good things...".
We believe that part of these good things are practical skills that we all need in every day life to care for our family and neighbors.
One of our primary responsibilities as parents is equip our children with the skills and tools to one day be productive, well rounded adults. Children need to be exposed to many different areas of work. Not only should they know how to work, but they should want to work.
May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us;
establish the work of our hands for us-
yes, establish the work of our hands.
Psalm 90:17

My daughter is sewing her own jumper. I helped her with one a month ago or so and her daddy was so impressed that he offered to buy her more fabric this past weekend, so she is off again and doing an amazing job all by herself! My mom was very impressed, also, and suggested she enter it in the county fair coming up this month.
