Eager Soap Makers!
July 29, 2009
We had a lot of eager soap makers at our Soap Making Class today. We had students as young as 12 and even two grandmas in attendance! That just goes to show you that you’re never too old to learn a new skill!
Today’s class was taught by Robin and myself, but Olivia was the real brains behind the day! THANKS LIV! She helped us figure how much of each oil to use. It is a real science to make soap!
The soap consisted of olive oil, Castor oil, palm oil, coconut oil, lye, oatmeal, lavender and the choice of fragrance by each family.
Because of the weather we moved the class to the fire station. Jeff gave the kids a tour of the station and explained some of the equipment.
…my hero!

I am hoping to try to make some myself soon. I am growing lavender in my garden and I am hoping to try to add it in.
I am so glad you shared your pictures! I love pictures
