The girls and I watched the movie Julie and Julia this weekend. It was a pretty good movie with the exception of some bad language and a couple suggestive scenes; I would not recommend it for young children unless you have Clear Play or some kind of filter like that. Overall we liked the movie, it was kind of like watching a version of Olivia; she has such a passion for cooking and trying new techniques and recipes.
) I love how both of the women in the movie pursue their passion of cooking, one at 30 and one at 40; they never gave up and they knew how important good cooking is.
Emma gave me a new cookbook for Christmas and it is my new favorite cookbook and I highly recommend it!
The pictures are WONDERFUL, the recipes are gooood
(not the most healthy, but man-satisfying and crowd pleasing!)
We love the Pioneer Woman’s website and her cookbook is worth every penny!
Not only are the pictures excellent (which she took herself), but she lets you see what it’s like to live on a ranch.
She also drives home the importance of working together as a family.
I LOVE IT!!!
