Computer Classes

For those of you that live close by, we have a dear friend that is giving computer classes (He really knows his stuff!) . If you are interested, just e-mail me and I’ll point you in the right dorection!


How to Start a Website – The Basics of Building Your Own (Saturday,
June 19th – 9:00am – 11:00am
This course will cover the basics of getting your own web address,
setting up a very basic website, and uploading all of your files.  For
an additional cost, you can walk away with a LIVE website on the
Internet.  At a minimum, you’ll at least understand how to go about
doing it.  No software is required and any operating system may be
used.  The expected class time is 2 hours.  Cost – $20/student.

Excel 101 – The Basics of Spreadsheets (Saturday, June 26th – 9:00am -
11:00am)
This course will teach the basics of using Microsoft Excel (or similar
spreadsheet program).  Class will be taught using either MS-Excel or a
free variant of a spreadsheet program (OpenOffice Calc) depending on
the class.  It will include going over most of the various menu
options in Excel including how to use formulas, sort data, create
charts, and more.  Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice Calc is required (the
latter is FREE).  The expected class time is 2 hours.  Cost – $20/
student.

How to Refill Printer Ink (Saturday, June 26th – 11:00am – 12:00pm)
This practical, hands on lab will teach you how to refill your printer
ink in your inkjet printer.  This skill can save you hundreds of
dollars in a short period of time simply by not buying new ink
cartridges all the time.  An ink refill kit is required for the class
as well as a set of empty (or almost empty) ink tanks from your
printer.  The kit must be ordered at least one week before the class
(two weeks notice desired).  The expected lab time is 1 hour.  Cost -
$10/student.
