Wow! Good for you guys! The turkey look fabulous too.
I really wish we lived closer becaue I'd let you "practice" with my littles any time you liked. I know of no teenagers (even in our church) who would even want do anything like this. Sometimes Mom just needs a helping hand too.

After I got out of college I got a job as a children's photographer. (Mostly kids, anyway.) I knew NOTHING about little children and was actually AFRAID of them! Of course, I've gotten over that--a long, long time ago. It would have been wonderful to have spent some time with children (other than my siblings who are very close to my age) as I was growing up.

Keep up the good work!

My 7 year old daughter and I watched this last night. We discussed some of the similarities in dress and work between the Amish and the Pilgrims. She asked me to keep the movie on her list "just in case I want to watch it again". It was well done.

This is so true - and too far children today know how to relate to any age group other than their own. All the time I get the "but if your kids are not in a public school, how will they learn how to relate to kids their own age?" And I ask them, "How many of the people you work and rub elbows with on a daily basis are withing 12 months of your age?" I get lots of glassy eyed stared back. LOL

But my nearly 14 year old knows how to amuse a crying baby, change a diaper, and digs sand castles in the yard with my nephews. She doesn't understand kids her own age - and she's ok with that. She snuggled next to me the other day and asked, "So what is so great about kissing guys, buying fancy clothes, and being rebellious? I just don't get it." Vannan is of a similar mind set - exept she doesn't do diapers ... yet.

I think both my girls are going to make great Mommies some day.

Rick would LOVE to talk politics all evening. Throw my dad into the mix and no one else would get a work in edgewise!
Seriously though, we should all plan to meet up sometime!

Some times I put Provolone Cheese in the middles of my meatballs. Dana and I have decided after seeing your recipe.
We are going to make meatball for sandwiches.
