Collinsville Quilt Walk

September 28, 2008

Yesterday our guild (which the girls and I belong to) took part in the Collinsville Quilt Walk. There were seven historical houses filled with quilts from seven states.

The theme was the Seven Sisters, this quilt pattern above.

Our guild was in the most beautiful house!!!! We had 76 quilts on display!

This house had a beautiful wrap around porch.

This was the dining room.

You can hop on over to my quilting blog and see a slide show of all the rooms,

although pictures do not do them justice.

Collinsville is a SMALL town in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains,

it's about as 'county' as you can get, almost like going back in time 50 years.  :o )

Learning how to quilt has been very good for us. It has taught us a lot about PAYING ATTENTION TO DETAILS!  lol…  It's a great way to put math skills to real life situations. We've also learned a lot about types of fabrics. Quilting and sewing skills are very important.

Our Nine Patch Quilting DVD will be released in just a couple weeks!!!!!

    Hi Kerrie,
