Celebrating the Incarnation
December 18, 2010
Tomorrow is the Sunday before Christmas.
I look forward to driving down this road to our church, as I do every Sunday.
Church attendance is not just for Christmas and Easter…
and funerals.
Going to church is not just about attendance, it is about worship.
Christians should worship everyday, but worshiping together with other
Christians is something different, something special…
something that should be done on a weekly basis.
Within these walls there is refreshment and security.
I’ll walk through these doors with my biological family and come together with my spiritual family.
We will join our voices together in confessions of sin and in confessions of what we believe.
We will sing praises through sacred hymns and psalms.
We will pray and share communion together.
We will encourage each other and hold each other accountable.
Most of all we will celebrate the incarnation of Jesus as Christ,
just as we celebrate His resurrection, for you cannot have one without the other.
Enter the doors of worship this Sunday,
remember how He entered this world to redeem your life!

Your church is so pretty. The church I grew up attending is also in Branchville (New Life Baptist church on Blair Farm Rd).
Small world Kim!!!
