Teaching Good Things, Practical Skills for Real Life

Equipping Families with Practical Skills for Real Life!

Living a Legacy Audios Available!!!

I’ve spent the past week focusing on my family and home as we’ve been in ‘recovery mode’ after the Living a Legacy conference. Preparing for and co-hosting the conference was a huge time commitment but worth every bit of it.

I thought I’d be emotionally and physically drained afterward but I wasn’t; I was actually recharged and encouraged! My own talk about How to Disciple the Nations from Home was a reminder to me of my duty as woman building the Kingdom right where I live. (I know that sounds pretty vain.)

There were over 200 people that were in attendance, we packed out our church! :) (Robin, Kelly and I all attend the same church.)  The ladies attending were such sweet, encouraging ladies.  We met many friends that we’ve only known online, what a joy to meet them face to face. There were many locals also!  To see so many women in place who are excited about their calling as Kingdom builders was energizing!

Here are few things we’ve heard from some who attended:

“Thank you so very much and with all my heart!! The conference was an incredible encouragement to my daughters and I and the friends we came with. I did not want it to end. I thank our Glorious God for you all and your hearts for others.” -Tammy

“I’m back from the Living A Legacy conference. All I can say is WOW. What a great time we had. It was just fantastic. All the speakers did a great job. The food was delicious….The conference was encouraging and uplifting. I can’t say enough good things about it! What a blessing!…If you can I would highly recommend [buying the audio]. It was just wonderful. If they have it again next year Katie and I will definitely be attending.” -Heather

“I am so thankful I was able to attend the Leaving a Legacy conference yesterday! I can not even begin to tell of all the ways the Lord worked through Robin, Kathy, Kelly, and their daughters Taylor, Olivia, Emma and Bria. I was especially touched also by Sherry Lee’s testimony. The Lord used this day to encourage, convict, and teach me so much! What a blessing!!!” -Jeanette

“Cannot tell you how blessed and encouraged I am after the conference! Thank you!” -Kate

You can purchase each session individually, or the whole conference for a $10 discount. And the excitment builds….

I am so excited to announce that our Living a Legacy conference is sold out!

OK, excited, nervous and humbled.

I’m so excited about the topics  and meeting so many of our readers that I can hardly sleep!!!!

If there is no blogging next week it is because I am laid up in the bed…sleeping! ;)

This image is from my first talk about Hospitality- Disciplining the Nations One Home at a Time.

If you think of it, we’d appreciate your prayers, not only for those of us that are speaking, but also for those who are traveling to get here. And may the Lord use this weekend to encourage all of us to be Kingdom builders in a spirit of love.

You are Invited to the Living a Legacy Conference

I am SO EXCITED to join my best real life friends Kelly Crawford, of Generation Cedar and Robin White, of Celebrating Motherhood Everyday in announcing the Living a Legacy Conference to be held on May 5-6, 2012, in Branchville, Alabama!!!

Kelly, Robin and I have talked about hosting a blog conference for the last few years but the timing never worked out…until now!

All of us will leave a legacy;

the question is,

what kind of legacy will you leave?

As Christian women our purpose is to live a life that will bring glory to God and pass that legacy on to the next generation. We are seeing a new awareness of the importance of home in the church and society , the return of women to build that home, kindled by a passion for loving Christ and transmitting that love to the next generation, and we are thrilled to join in that reformation! We want to hold up the arms of women everywhere, encourage them in the trenches of ”my-life-for-yours” living, and give them a renewed commitment to forsake what the world esteems and embrace a life-work that will last for eternity!

  • The conference will include eight sessions, complete with question and answer time on  Saturday.
  • Come be encouraged and equipped to pass on a lasting legacy for God’s glory.
  • There will be wonderful legacy-building resources given away all day long and lots of ‘girlie treats’!
  • Lunch and supper are included in the registration fee.
  • You won’t want to miss the vendor area, featuring different home industries, books and products. If you would like to be a vendor email me for more information!
  • We are honored to have a very special guest speaker, Sherry Lee, the widow of Tom Lee, and the mother of 13 children.  Sherry is well known for her kind and gentle spirit, and  is truly a mother whose children rise up and call her blessed.  The Lord took Tom’s life and their home during the Alabama Tornado in April of 2011. Sherry and the children are truly living out Tom’s legacy to the glory of God.
  • Four of our daughters will share how they are carrying on their family’s legacy for God’s glory.
