Birthday Week Giveaway #4

October 2, 2008

The winner of yesterday's giveaway is Leslie from Virginia!

Just email me your address and I'll get your pumpkins in the mail to you!
I wish I could send everyone a set.

Today's GIVEAWAY is a crocheted dishcloth.

It is similar to the one that you would learn how to make in my Learn How to Crochet DVD.

I can't encourage parents enough to make time for the children to learn skills such as crochet, quilting and woodworking. If they don't learn it when they are young it is so much harder when they become adults due to the adult responsibilities of home, work, and raising children. When a person learns these things as a child they will quickly become second nature and they will do it to relax AND be creative and productive.

Don't forget to check in tomorrow for another GIVEAWAY!

Saturday I will be giving away one Basic Cake Decorating DVD and one Learn How to Crochet DVD!!!

EVERYONE that leaves a comment this week will be entered for the DVDs, so make sure you state which one you'd like.

BUT, for the other giveaways you'll have to check in and let me know you want the giveaway of the day. Hope that is not too confusing. All giveaways will end 12:00 midnight Central time!

So, just leave me a comment if you'd like me to put your name in on this one. If I draw your name tonight I will mail it to you TOMORROW! If you link to this givaway on your blog I'll put your name in TWICE! You will automatically be put in for the DVD giveaways for Saturday!

Your dishcloth is beautiful. I would so like to win your crochet dvd to learn how to do that. I also read your page header about home being the mission field yesterday. That was great!! It is a perspective that I try to hold on to when so many others are asking for my time and energy. Thanks for the encouragement. Susan

I blogged about this giveaway today!

  28. This is very nice! I wish my mom had taught me how to crochet, and I agree, if we teach these things to our youngsters it is a good thing. I don’t see any young adults now sitting in an office knitting while waiting for their appts. etc… like I do some of the older folk. I worry that this knowledge, if we fail to teach it to them, will be gone one day. I can’t do anything repetitive with my arms/hands due to injuries, but really wish I could teach my little one!

  29. Marcie says:

Please enter me in the drawing for the dishcloth. I have not used a crocheted dishcloth, but have heard they are wonderful.

Would love to revisit crocheting, a project like this would be a great first project.

  30. Samantha says:

Please enter me in this competition.
