    Hi Kathy,

I have tried and tried but cannot leave a comment on the pumkin pot holders, the link just will not work. I am hoping that this email will qualify as a comment, but I will still check back later. I love the things you have displayed this week. I pulled out my “Pot Holders for the Seasons” crochet book on Saturday and have made a pumpkin (orange apple, with a vine, did not want a jack-o-lantern), a maple leaf, and am working on a sunflower. I use cotton yarn for these, they don’t seem to catch fire as easily as the arcrylic does. I also purchased a fall table cloth from the dollar store and 2 fall dish towels to match. I asked my dh for some “mad money” to pick up a few more towels ($1 ea), just to spruce up the kitchen which is newly remodeld (well half way done), to which he replied that he had found some at Wal-Mart for $4 for a pack of 8. I said okay, sulking in my heart, thinking I’ll just save my change and pick up some pretty towels next time I go to the dollar store (confession time!). Keep in mind we are a 1 car family, and I cannot drive his truck so he will be with me….. I decided later I did not deserve the towels because of my attitude and then your towel tutorial came to me!!!!! What a great inexpensive way to get the cheaper, less pretty towels and make them match!!!!! Thanks for sharing your birthday with us and thanks for the great patterns (can’t wait to make the pumpkin pot holders), I kind of think it was God’s way of acknowledging my repentance at my attitude toward my dh….. Thanks so much and even if I don’t win the Cake Decorating DVD (which I will buy later if I don’t win) I have enjoyed the tutorials and sharing birthdays with you (mine is Oct. 12).
