Beekeeping and making honey is a good project for older boys (and girls). Selling your honey could be a good money making project from home. If you don’t want to keep bees your son could build the hives to sell.

We just did a unit study about bees.
I love the website!! And I would love to raise bees… did you know home grown honey is supposed to help with allergies?
Here is something that we have been looking into: sustainable beekeeping. We found a lot of good information on it at beelanding.com. It sounds less expensive, easier and more healthy for the bees and all involved. We are wanting to try this in the next couple of years with our family.
