A Savings Summit

June 29, 2009

Here is an event for our local people. If you like the idea maybe you can plan one in your area with your own local ‘experts’. :o )

A Savings Summit

Summit  -noun

1.

a meeting or conference of heads of state, esp. to conduct diplomatic negotiations and ease international tensions.

2.       any meeting or conference of top-level officials, executives, etc

All top level homemakers and their executives (daughters) are invited to a Savings Summit where we will discuss ways to ease financial tensions by trimming the family budget. We will also discuss how to become more self-sufficient and interdependent on each other (Christians).

Come hear from one wife who has 15 people living in their 2-story, 3,000 sq. ft. house and manages to keep an average power bill of around $65 a month!

We will hear from other experts that have cut their expenses considerably in areas of utilities, groceries, home maintenance, gift giving, homeschool supplies, and vacations.

A couple of our enterprising wives will share how they are making money from home.

This summit will be an open forum so be sure to bring some ideas to share.

Bring:

Lunch- We gotta eat! Bring something to share with everyone. We’ll provide paper goods and drinks.

Handouts with recipes, websites, and money saving suggestions that you’d like to share (bring about 20).

Something to write with.

The Bartering Table

Bring items that you would like to barter or a list of items or services that you or your family can barter.

Before we take our lunch break we will have a brief time to allow anyone who would like to tell what they have to barter, or tell what they are looking for.

Bartering can take place during lunch and after the summit.
