A Hen House on Wheels
Here is a hen house on wheels that Olivia requested her dad make.
Now to get the girl some chickens!
He has build 4 of these for friends, using this pattern, but decided to design his own to make it easier to move.

I had to bookmark this page. We are hoping to get chickens and this would be perfect. I’m sure my husband can build this. Thanks for posting about it.
Hello Mr. Brodock!
I love your design! The wheels will definitely come in handy.
I am raising meat birds. I made my movable coop out of a chain link fence dog pen. I wrapped the sides with chicken wire and across the top, too. The top is also covered with a tarp and protects them from the rain and winds from the south and west.
I have the top of an old dog igloo inside so that they can go in when it is cold. I didn’t use the bottom so that they could be directly on the grass. It is amazing how many chickens can fit in there! I flip the igloo over in the mornings and grab hold of the cage and move it for fresh ground. My pen has a door so that I can go in and out easily.
If you were closer, I would love to see you make one of these hen houses. Some day, I might raise hens for eggs. Are you selling the plans? We can barter…..I’ll trade you some of my e-books for a copy of your plans!
I know that you were working with your city to get chickens legal. Last week our paper had a story that said that we’re allowed to have 5 chickens per household–in the city! I had no idea.

I just ordered the plans for the chicken coop. I have been wanting chickens and fresh eggs for some time. My husband was always concerned about having chickens walking around the yard and the mess, but I showed him this hen house. He is looking forward to building this. Thanks for posting the link. I really like the one your husband built with wheels.
Hello Brodock Family
I have to say, of all the web sites there are out there, yours is MY FAVORITE. Thank you for ENCOURAGING me in my job as a wife and a mother! As I am learning about becoming more domestic and gaining skills I never had, I always go to your site for the information I need. THANK YOU!
