12 Witty Replies to a Commom Question

So, I admit, we have a lot of sarcasm in this house, the kids got it form me, not bragging, just sayin.

I have toned my sarcasm down a lot over the last few years, but not soon enough I guess because it flows freely from my girls! I like to consider it wit!

I think sarcasm can be good if done ‘correctly’. ;o) If it is done in a way to point out the ridiculous, to kind of shock people into thinking and viewing something from another view point, then maybe sarcasm is a good thing. The key is NOT to be mean spirited about it.

Olivia is 20, and Emma is 17. They are constantly bombarded with questions about ‘what now’, college, career, dating, etc… Their replies often land on deaf ears and occasionally on ears that can not or will not begin to understand. It can be frustrating for them, not that they insist that people agree with them, but just the continual *negative*, ‘you’re throwing your life away stupid girl‘ replies that make them weary.

So in order to have a bit of fun and state truth in a way that will either leave them confused, or maybe actually thinking through their question, Olivia has come up with some ‘witty’ responses.
